Although Chaga is not the most beautiful mushroom in the fungi kingdom, growing as a large crusty growth on the outside of birch trees, it is however considered the king of the mushrooms due to the vast array of health benefits it is thought to provide.

Chaga is thought to have the highest antioxidant capacity of any functional mushroom. It contains the highest concentration of superoxide dismutase (SOD), which is a potent antioxidant that works by efficiently neutralising oxygen free radicals, preventing oxidative damage to cells in your body.
The Chaga mushroom has also demonstrated powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immunostimulatory activities, as well as potentially playing a significant role in alleviating fatigue.
