Natural flow meditation
Performing the natural flow meditation will increase conscious awareness, while restoring mental balance and focus.
I find this meditation technique extremely useful with bringing me back into the moment, or to ease my mind after a straining day.
Learning this technique has allowed me to maintain a balanced mind in all situations, by remaining conscious of my breath.
"a compromised mind manifests in the breath."

Visualize it
Before i start, i set a mental intention to complete each sitting with a strong determination not to move/change posture throughout the duration.
I start by sitting down on the floor in my usual meditative posture (legs crossed, back & neck straight)... i rest my hands on my lap.
i gently close my eyes and scan my body to ensure my posture is good and my muscles are relaxed.
As i inhale and exhale through my nostrils, i become the 'silent observer', examining the circular flow of breath as my body automatically & naturally breathes; i don't control my breath, i observe the natural phenomena.
I am aware of the cool breath as it touches the inside of my nostrils, as it fills up my lungs, and as it rejuvenates my body.
my mind tends to occasionally get distracted by thoughts during this practice; when my mind clings to the thoughts that arise, i calmly bring my full attention back to the flow of the breath.
i carry this meditation technique into my daily life by continuously observing the natural flow of my breath.
