Cause and effect

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." — The Kybalion.

The principle of cause and effect embodies the fact that everything happens according to law; nothing happens by chance, there is a cause for every effect, an effect for every cause.

​Chance is merely a term indicating cause existing but not recognised or perceived; cause and effect is a continuous phenomena, without break or exception, no matter the plane.

The ancient hermetists rise above the ordinary plane of cause and effect, to a certain degree, and by mentally rising to a higher plane they become causers for the law; instead of being carried along in life like a pawn on a chessboard.

in rising to a plane above, the ancient hermetist masters learn to dominate their moods, characters, qualities and powers, as well as the environment surrounding them, becoming movers instead of moved. They essentially become the masters of life, instead of allowing life to master them.

Causation of the higher planes is still active and must be obeyed by all, although when rising to a higher degree, one will serve on the higher planes and rule on their own.

The principle of Cause and effect essentially provides one with the keys to reading the future like an open book, for those who understand this principle can foresee an effect from every cause, and a cause from every effect.

I find this principle extremely fascinating and the deeper i dig, the more i see; for example, being born is the cause, and death is the effect.

​It's an inevitability from the day we are born... also, we have free will and are free to create any cause we please, although we are not free from the inevitable effect that follows us.

The principle of cause and effect is always in operation no matter the plane, although understanding this law will allow you to realise that nothing happens by chance and that everything is governed by universal law; after all, if something happened by chance, that would mean it's independent of the orderly trend of the universe, and therefore superior to it.

Nothing can be outside of the law, for the infinite number of laws are but manifestations of the one great law, the law, which is the all.

for me, cause and effect has helped me greatly with the causes i do, and just like the principle of correspondence, what we do on the micro is felt throughout the macro.

it's important to strive for perfection with everything we do, even though perfection isn't possible.

Leave behind 'perfect' causes, to lead yourself to 'perfect' effects.

​Cause and effect can easily be recognised as 'karma'; you reap what you sow.
