Polarity

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." — The Kybalion.

The principle of polarity sheds light on the old paradoxes that have perplexed so many; "Thesis and antithesis are identical in nature, but different in degree"; "opposites are the same, differing only in degree"; "the pairs of opposites may be reconciled"; "extremes meet"; "everything is and isn't, at the same time"; "all truths are but half-truths"; "every truth is half-false"; "there are two sides to everything,"​

"Good and evil, light and darkness, are just two sides of the same coin."

The principle of polarity is extremely important, not just in the eyes of the ancient hermetists, but in my eyes and with the path of transmutation i am currently on.

I find it to be one of the most valuable tools against the 'evil' around me... instead of allowing myself to be consumed or be overpowered, i am able to find and express the 'good' to all, by reversing the polarity.

For me, understanding this principle has helped me change the vibration of certain situations, all by changing the polarity, or the degrees of a topic; it also allows me to remain in a state of powerful understanding and control, while giving advice, debating, etc.

the great principle of Polarity has helped me to understand the paradoxical nature of the world around us; the commonality of opposites is becoming more and more clear, and while so many eyes perceive things as being separate, i am able to see and express the correspondence between two seemingly disconnected, yet connected perceptions.

so far I've only expressed its benefits to the world around me, although in reference to the principle of correspondence, polarity also goes within.

The principle of polarity gives me the insightful ability to change the degree of my thoughts and emotions, from a 'negative' pole, to a 'positive' pole.

in relation to the principle of rhythm, when i start to feel my mental state shift to the opposite polarity, i can neutralise the rhythmic swing from one pole to the other, by standing consciously firm at my desired pole.

Learning the art of polarization becomes a form of mental alchemy, known and practiced by the ancient hermetist masters.

understanding this principle gives an individual the ability to change one's own Polarity, as well as that of others, if the necessary time and study is devoted to master the art.
