Correspondence
The great universal law of correspondence embodies the truth that whatever is above is like that which is below, and whatever is below is like that which is above.
a famous quote inspired by this law, "as above, so below; as below, so above" contains a master key which allows man to venture from the known to the unknown, and to the unknown from the known.
by applying this law, we are able to understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us.
There are planes beyond our knowing, but when the principle of correspondence is applied to them, the laws and phenomena of the various planes of being and life becomes clear.
The universe can be divided into three great classes of phenomena, known as the three great planes;
1) The great physical plane
2) The great mental plane
3) The great spiritual plane.
Each of the three great planes can then be subdivided into seven minor planes, with each of the seven minor planes also subdividing into seven subplanes.

with my personal understanding i've gathered in my everyday life, i find this principle extremely valuable with determining the status of my inner world, by reflecting on my outer world; i started to notice how the things i see in others, the world, or where i'm at in life, is a reflection of my inner self.
our relationships, health, wealth and position are mirror images of our inner world.
i also gained an understanding of the connectedness of nature in its entirety; from microorganisms to macroorganisms, from plant, to human life... everything shares a corresponding connection which completes the whole.
I realised that the destruction of gaia, through the annihilation of trees, plants, and life, is actually destroying our own connection to the whole.
it's a proven fact that plants and trees thrive around other plants... why? because they're connecting like they're intended to do.
This also goes for us humans, the disconnection we experience between one another is hurting us greatly, whether we know it or not.
I had a thought a little while ago; if nothing and nobody was miserable, would we still get miserable?
I feel like the misery that so many of us experience is due to the misery going on all around us... It's only there, because it's there.
we are all empathic to different degrees and whether or not we know about it, the misery around us is bringing misery to us. This shares a strong correspondence to the Law of divine oneness.
by reading this, i hope you've developed an enhanced understanding of this paradox of nature.
"As above, so below; as below, so above."
"As within, so without; as without, so within."
As simplicity, so infinity; as infinity, so simplicity."
“Tis true without lying, certain, and most true. That which is below is like that which is above & that which is above is like that which is below.” -Isaac Newton
